Dr. Berhanu is the Senior Project Manager for CIRHT at the University of Michigan. Previously, he was a post-doc fellow in Outcomes research at Rutgers University/Merck, implementing research projects that provided evidence for strategic decision making. He also served as clinician-lecturer and physician-researcher in public hospitals in Ethiopia. He received his medical degree from Addis Ababa University and post-graduate training in Public Health at Harvard University and Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Berhanu is the co-founder and first president of the Ethiopian Medical Students’ Association and was the youngest Executive Board Member at the Ethiopian Medical Association.
