Dr. Lia is the Program Director for CIRHT. Previously, she was the Project Director for the Maternal and Child Survival Program at Jhpiego Ethiopia. She joined St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College in Ethiopia in 2007 where she served as an Assistant Professor in OB/GYN and in various leadership roles as CEO and Vice Provost actively implementing different reforms and developing partnerships. Dr. Lia earned her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Health Care Administration at Jimma University, and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Addis Ababa University
